2013/14 Squad

Just to say, that wasn't my ideal squad it was my prediction.

My ideal squad:

Kompany, Nastasic, Ivanovic, Lescott, Rekik
Clichy, Ben Davies
Yaya, Fernandinho, Thiago, Rodwell, Razak

I just can't see anything like this happening though

Seems like our management team doesn't believe you can have too many midfielders.

Not too bad but i can garente that we won't get cavani! Is rather just stick with guidetti tbf

Would be a title winning squad that's for sure! Although I'd be a bit worried about cover for Clichy at LB as Rekik is primarily a CB. Doesn't really look like he would make the grade as a full back.

Really? 3 or 4 injuries and we could have a team of kids playing

let's say Silva, Clichy, Navas and Di Maria

Cavani
Isco Suarez Lopes
Yaya Ferna
Rekik Nastasic Kompany Zabaleta
Hart

that would leave us with 3 untested kids, a 21 year old with 1 full la liga season and a youngster with one season in our league all starting

No, you think it, you do not guarantee it
 
Given that Soriano has confirmed that Pellegrini will be allowed to play the system of his own choosing (as opposed to the mooted 433), then we'll presumably see the 4231 that he usually favours - two banks of four without the ball, with an Isco/Joaquin creator in the hole (sometimes he favoured the more strikerish Baptista, but actually only for eleven starts) My guess:

RB: Richards, Zabaleta
LB: Clichy, Kolarov
CB: Kompany, Nastasic, Lescott, Rekik
DM: Barry, Garcia, Rodwell, Fernandinho
