20 million for Delph?

20 million for Delph?

In the current market? I don't see why not. 29, 1 or 2 time league winner, going to be in England squads if he plays regularly. Experience at the top and bottom of the table. Captained Villa for years.

Look at £20m midfielders bought last year -

Fulham - Jean Michel Seri - £25m.

Leicester - Adrien Silva - £22m.

Everton paid £20m for Walcott.

I think 20m would be the minimum in January for Delph. If he doesn't play again for us it might be lower, but if he comes back and has half a dozen decent games it'll be back above 20.

He did say we already have a deal in place for much less than the fee quoted for Saul niguez.
Rodri's release clause is €70m, hopefully it's him.

As for Thiago, he a crock, and he's a poor DM, Pep knows it better than anyone else. He brought Thiago to Bayern to play as DM but got disillusioned quite soon.

Edit: And I doubt City will ever pay a penny to Rummenigge's club.

Crock is a bit harsh, he's made 179 appearance for Bayern so far and will probably reach at least 185 before the end of the season. To put that into context Ferna has played 31 games more than him in the last 4 years yet in the same period we have had 16 more league games than bayern.

We should do it. Can almost get Chilwell for that amount

I can't see us losing any big player as long as Pep is at the club. If/when he leaves there could be a risk that heads get turned.

It would definitely take more than €75m for Bernardo considering Barca paid £142m for Coutinho (what were they thinking?!)

It was a joke, we shouldn’t even consider selling him even if Real offered 500m

Real paid €75m for the inferior James Rodriguez from Monaco, in 2014, before all the recent inflation. They know they'd need to pay a lot more than that now for Bernardo, so I wouldn't pay that article any mind.

The 2019 window is becoming more and more important.

Possible transfer bans loom - if a ban were to transpire that would mean that we would need to conduct business ASAP before the ban begins.

And regardless of bans - several key players in our side are nearing their end-of-career- D. Silva, Aguero, Kompany, Fernandinho...

We need to restock big time in summer 2019... not to mention that LB and RB both are sources of concern.

Seeing a lot of rumours of Toni Kroos being linked don’t know if just paper talk but could he be a possible dm target? Not conventional and very different to Ferna but Similar to a Jorginho which we targeted last summer

I feel we need a DM and CB. Left back its covered by Zinchenko and Mendy now.
Zinchencko, yes. Mendy I'm not so sure. Him and Delph barely constitue 1 full leftback. I hope for the best but expect the worst. If I were to judge without considerations on money outlays, it's Mendy I'd be considering moving, not Zinchencko.

Benfica president and Jorge Mendes met with City, United and Juventus representatives to discuss Joao Felix

Please God let this be true :)

fully agree world class material already and only 23 years old , given how offensive are our full back in our system would see him more as a CB with us
release clause of 80 millions, seems Bayern will trigger it
So if he is just a CB, then he isn't worth buying at the moment.

I feel like I'm the only city fan not currently concerned with left back. Many and Zinchenko if we can keep Mendy fit. Walker has worried me all season, also wouldn't want to miss out on Wan Bissaka.
Out In
Mahrez - sancho
Walker - wan Bissaka
Delph - Phillips
Mangala
Garcia
Garcia
Luiz

The summer would cost us around £100 million.
I have no concern whatsoever aboya Zinchencko. But like Delph, I'm deeply concerned about Mendy. Both show a penchant for staying injured. Good for their reputations as saviour studs, bad for their development, cohesion and chemistry with their teammates.

Hope we`re not interested. He was so horrible against Ajax, can`t remember having seen a slower player ever, my dead grandma is quicker than him. One of the most overrated players in the world IMO
