Toni Kroos is an elite player. Not many of them about . Would like him . Only problem for me would be his age as he seems to have been around years and he would cost a fortune

Don’t agree with that mate. Might have been poor the other night but when Germany won the World Cup he was fantastic and he also bossed midfield for years with Bayern and Real Madrid. In Russia Germany were poor but kroos nearly got them into the next round single handedly. Defo not overated in my eyes.

I've said for most of this season how I'd love to see us get a CB, LB, holding midfielder and forward player who can play 2/3 roles. Dream signings for me would be De Ligt, Chilwell and Ndombele, completely undecided on the forward player however. That Wan-Bissaka looks some player as well for Palace, however we'd probably need to ship Walker or Danilo on for that to happen

Roque Santa Cruz made 20 appearances for City in a season and 1/2. Mendy has played 15 matches since 2017.

Mendy has appeared fewer times over a longer span of time. Yet, Santa Cruz is a punch line, a permacrock, and the ultimate in a bad buy. But Mendy, Mendy, oh boy he's our left back sorted for years and years. We just need to keep with him he'll be fit eventually.

Imo, Mendy was a waste of money in hindsight. Sell him now and get what we can. He could be the absolute best left back on the planet. Doesn't matter one bit because he's rarely/never on the pitch. And as I've said before, he's just a shit Balotelli. Not funny, just annoying.
 
I would think we will not hold too much back on spending this summer, given we may be given a transfer ban. So let's just buy what we need.

Lol. You really don't like him. But I get it. Based on the facts, he and Delph are serious candidates for moving out based on there injuries
 
My wishlist for the summer:
  • Wan-Bissaka - bad timing but too good to pass on
  • De Ligt - don’t think we need him with Stones & Laporte but again too good to pass on
  • Left back - no idea who... Chilwell would be nice but is he going to be top level? Who knows
  • Dinho replacement - again no idea who... I think Fernandinho is a “one of a kind” player that you don’t replace like-for-like. Could be a position/role where you’re most likely to come up with an out of the blue signing or an academy kid to suddenly step up and be the bees knees?
I think we’ll sign a left back and a defensive midfielder (I say I think, Pep did say it in a press conference the other week...) and nothing else

I watched several Benfica's games. The kid is a real talent, but IMO he's hardly useful as a winger or sole CF/false 9 as he lacks pace and explosiveness, needs to be played in a forward pair.
Tactically limited player, a bit like Dybala. Could be converted into 8 though.

Reminds me of a young Suarez with the vision of Kevin and a bit of Silva's swivel. I really like him. I think he can play the 8 or 9 position. Not sure of the wings.
 

Would probably be way cheaper than AWB, but with Walker and Danilo and also Frimpong in the academy, do we really need a RB?
