Suspect Pie is bang on the money there. Unless trump is totally rejected for being a 'massive cock'he may very well be headed for a second term. I do realise I'm betting on both horses there btw, but all the pollsters predicting his demise now seem to be the same ones predicting a Hillary landslide last time.

Possibly, but the big difference last time was the critical timing of the FBI files being released which then cast some doubt on Clinton’s credibility & probably swayed the undecided.

No such luck this time for Trump in trying to release a story of similar impact to try & tarnish Biden.

Even if he did I don’t think the impact would have been as great as 2016, since too many people have already made up their mind & voted well in advance.

Finally, he can’t pedle the popular ‘drain the swamp’ 2016 rhetoric to gain mass voters since he is now the incumbent & any dissatisfaction of the previous four years of government is a poor reflection on him.

It’s “crazy” to count ALL the votes....

Fucking lol at Dax.

Don't act like a dunce. It's crazy not because you'd in essence be allowing voting after election day.

All ballots should be post marked by the 2rd to be counted. If you don't have the common sense to post your ballot by the 2nd or go vote in person on the third, you really have no one to blame but yourself. No one should be able to send in ballots after election day.

What about the ballots sent before the 2nd but left lying on post office floors?

Postmarked by the 3rd should all be counted. So if you put your ballot in the mail in the 2ns it will be postmarked by the 3rd.

That's my opinion thought. In my view this is the highest protection for voting rights while also limiting the opportunity for Fraud.

Hard to count all the votes when you leave them sitting in the post office by "accident" because of a "backlog"

I didn't see it get too much discussion on here but the Supreme Court decision over Wisconsin will IMO go down as the moment that they fucked up one time too many.

For the conservative justices to write such a sloppy (literally plagiarised and sometimes factually wrong), partisan, illogical and (no surprise) unfounded decision really destroyed any chance for Democrats who're scared of court reform to claim the Supreme Court is beyond reproach.

You've got a self-proclaimed Originalist, Kavanaugh just deciding votes can't be counted if they come out after the deadline when the whole reason there is a 2 month lame duck period is because in 1788...they couldn't announce a winner on the fucking day!

Then, he bases his argument around Vermont not changing their election laws, only for the Secretary of State for Vermont to come out publicly and point out they've made 2 massive changes - including extending the deadline - hence destroying his already stupid argument.

And of course he's ignored all the precedent set by the very same court in April, when they allowed votes through after the deadline in the primaries, and decades of precedent over people being allowed to vote after the deadline as long as they were in line, because in a democracy, your vote is supposed to count if you did everything right. The Post Office being shit should not disenfranchise you.

He actually argued it would be wrong to "flip" an unconfirmed election result by counting all of the votes!

Truly, it's killed any kind of pretence that Kavanaugh is anything but a vile partisan hack who will lie, ignore his principles, and invent made up nonsense to push through the Republican result.

When expanding the courts was brought up after RBG's death, a lot of the old, lifer Democrats spoke negatively about it and were weary of taking on that fight. The Kavanaugh Concurrance was so openly and offensively partisan that it will have changed opinions.

If Biden wins and the dems control the senate, there's going to be a huge fight over court reform before 2024.
Here we go with the Fallacy. The "Conservative Justices" did not write a sloppy unfounded decision. Below is the basis for their ruling. FFS it's not even controversial.

"a lower federal court decision infringed on the Wisconsin state legislature's right to set the rules surrounding the November election as set out in Article II of the Constitution."

That in a nutshell is the point. Elected Legislatures write laws.. Judge's simply determine if it violates constitution or not. They don't substitute their Judgement for those of the legislature.

Would it be better if they allowed longer time to recieve mail in ballots? Sure. But it is those who the people elected who have the duty to make that decision. Not some appointed Judge. That in a nutshell is the ruling.

Kavanaugh, one conservative Justice and NOT The" Conservative Judges"(as you ably conflated) wrote a sloppy concurring opinion.

By the way, no other Justice signed on to his concurring opinion. And Kagan's dissent attacked his concurring opinion directly. In short Kavanaugh got a Judicial spanking from all 7 Justices who either shunned or gave him a verbal spanking.

Kavanaugh's opinion was weak and supportless. It is disingenuous to pass it off as the ruling opinion.

Again, Post Office can prioritize ballots in the week leading up to election day. States can have a ballot return date that guarantees every sent in would be post marked for election day.

I think it's a lot of noise over nothing or very little.

It's hard to argue vote Suppression with record voting in many States.
Voter suppression is about preventing or making it very difficult for people who want to vote from voting and bringing in measures to avoid counting all the votes. It’s undeniable that this is happening.

The record turnout of those that haven’t been disenfranchised is as a result of having a criminal as President for the last 4 years.

The fact that you’re struggling to reconcile the fact that both these things can happen at the same time is your problem and no one else’s.

What's included in the early voting numbers? (Great numbers by the way.)

Early in person votes of course but also postal ballots received?
