It’s depressing how many on here were posting Twitter links showing how Biden was going to smash Trump, various polls etc. Always never going to happen.

just prey he can get over the line now.

Never, ever base politics predictions from Twitter. It doesn’t represent the silent majority as we’ve seen for the past four years. 2016 US election, Brexit and once again this year. All wrote off on social media.

It’s going nearly exactly as I thought it would, unfortunately.

I tried to stop viewing tracking data and analysis last night — as it is pointless to follow the horse race right now — and get a bit of sleep, but had little success.

Will need strong sleep meds to get some rest over the next few days and weeks.

Still hoping I am wrong about how this next period of court challenges, absentee ballot counting, EC certification, and public discourse goes. But Trump is doing exactly what we expected him to do, so there’s not much reason to think the Republicans as a whole (or Trump’s militant supporters) will deviate much from predictions.

It’s going to get messy, as most of us thought it would.

Back to avoiding this thread. Stay safe all!

This is how an election count looks in a well-functioning democracy.....

I didn't realise Trump stood against Johnson.

I can't believe we've reached the point where Trump has claimed victory in an election he's on track to lose, and has told his base that any change is fraudulent, and some users on here are still lecturing us for thinking Trump's worse than any normal candidate.
It is the same pattern every election. A progressive party loses and are told they didn't listen to the working class (like trump obviously does when he gives tax cuts to the rich) and disenfranchised everyone including their traditional voters.

If the democrats picked Bernie and lost they'd have been told that a socialist will never win an election. If they go for a moderate candidate they aren't listening to the people, I'm really not sure what I'm missing and I'm working class myself

It’s not Twitter, it’s every major polling organisation.

The medium it’s displayed on is completely immaterial.
