Well, I haven't seen her frown in years...She looks seriously good for 80; no ostensible work either.

And there was I thinking it odd that you were sacrificing your principles for the greater good of the temporary relief of the poor but not willing to do it for the permanent benefit of the poor by ousting Trump.I think neolibs are awful creatures of their principle, but people have been crying since the beginning of these types of discussions that people are suffering NOW!
The very same people aren't decrying Pelosi, though.
I find it all rather interesting.
Doesn’t live there. Doesn’t have a vote. Not from there. Not allowed to enter the country. And as a follow up. Forgive me if you’ve answered this already, but do you actually live in America? Are you from there? Do you have a vote?
This Pelosi thing you're going on about is such incredible bullshit. Pelosi and the rest of the House Dems passed a $3.4 trillion stimulus bill in fucking JUNE that was never taken up by the Senate and ignored by the President for literally the entire summer. They passed another $2.2 trillion dollar bill at the end of September and again the bill was ignored, in both cases because McConnell knows that he can't get Republican votes for it in the Senate. Not a peep from you that entire time. The President then tweeted in early October that he was "walking away" from the deal only to reverse course a day later after the stock market tanked in an extremely transparent election play. If you seriously think Nancy Pelosi is the reason we don't have stimulus you're even dumber than I thought.
You seem to miss the point, which is fine. And there was I thinking it odd that you were sacrificing your principles for the greater good of the temporary relief of the poor but not willing to do it for the permanent benefit of the poor by ousting Trump.

Gee, this 'irrelevant' poster is constantly on someone's mind, eh?Yeah but that (the truth) is not a right wing talking point. So why would he know it?
I think the Dems are hoping that in three weeks, they will get a big enough majority to effectively get their own stimulus proposal through within months. You seem to miss the point, which is fine.
If the 'principle' of helping people that are struggling is the main goal, she has the chance to take something that is close enough in compromise. Do you think these struggling people on the verge of being homeless think 'You stand by your principles, nancy!'?
Will they be rehomed 'retroactively' as she claims??
Again, you can criticise my position all you like, my thoughts do not affect American lives.
Her ACTIONS do, though.
I see some people arguing about a greater sum that was rejected/ ignored in the summer. So what!! That's gone as you keep telling me on my preferred candidate!
This is the 'compromise' you lot talk about!!
Your collective principles, if you actually have any, are a joke!!
Where are you from @Bigga and do you vote there.Doesn’t live there. Doesn’t have a vote. Not from there. Not allowed to enter the country.
I have constantly stated, to make it clear, I have thoughts on the matter. Others have answered already that I don't have the vote.Where are you from @Bigga and do you vote there.
How are you making change in your own community/country?
YeahFeel like the Trump campaign is doing a really shit job with their attack campaigns/strategy. They seem to be really lacking imagination and just thinking up things they've done and accusing Biden of it? Can't they think of anything that can't so easily be dismissed as something they themselves are guilty of?
The whole Hunter Biden thing, they have pushed it so hard, but surely they realise people have noticed his own children, right? It really doesn't work accusing the other guy of nepotism when you have your entire family in a blatant grift? Same for the whole "you are old and mentally dodgy" angle, surely they realise Trump is also old and mentally dodgy? All that remains is all the standard "lefties are commies and they'll take away your god/white people/money" line that Republicans have to run as standard and don't really stick to Biden at all?
I know he's already fallen out with most the evil geniuses kicking about over there, but surely there is someone left capable of coming up with a better attack plan than this?
And by arguing that it’s no different to how you are approaching the subject, that makes your principles a joke by your own logic! This is the 'compromise' you lot talk about!!

In Britain?I have constantly stated, to make it clear, I have thoughts on the matter. Others have answered already that I don't have the vote.
As for my own politics, I've been courted by a few parties over the years, but none have enough of my thoughts on stuff to join and there's usually a debate on issues for a couple of hours before that happens.
With that said, I was raised under a Labour household.
It's gone way under the radar because of covid but you're right, Trump's campaign this time around has been a complete mess strategically. There is no message, they turned up to the debate sounding like lunatics, and never once bothered to reach out beyond their base. Most glaringly, given a number of actually true things to attack Biden on they've gone with two clearly untrue and easily disproven lines of attack about him being a secret socialist manipulated by AOC and/or senile. It's really pretty wild.Feel like the Trump campaign is doing a really shit job with their attack campaigns/strategy. They seem to be really lacking imagination and just thinking up things they've done and accusing Biden of it? Can't they think of anything that can't so easily be dismissed as something they themselves are guilty of?

The whole Twitter thread is worth a read, but this one tweet should raise your bullshit alarms...
Thread:
The problem is this constant pendulum swing between neolib degrees of policy. It's a worldwide issue and why France have seen massive strikes in the last year, Brexit here and the deep dividing of the poor by the rich in the States. And that last lines is the underlying issue in all these cases. And by arguing that it’s no different to how you are approaching the subject, that makes your principles a joke by your own logic!
Bigga this is getting crazy in here. You need to take a breath.
There doesn’t seem to me to be anyone endorsing Biden. There are a lot denouncing Trump though.
I myself as an Irish outsider looking in, don’t give a rat’s arse about either party, but I do not see the two candidates as posing the same threats equally.
I don’t equate the same subversion of democracy to both sides.
The system is corrupt whoever is in office-Yes, but one side seems to want to write the electorate out of the equation altogether.
It’s a discussion about the 2020 election - yes.
For me it is very clear that you seem to aspire to higher ideals, as we all do worldwide, but like Corona coming along unexpectedly and taking up all government’s time, concern and money.
There is an immediate danger to any form of future democracy in America and it is the virus that is Trump and his cronies.
It is the issue that is front and centre for this election.
The Democratic Party picked a candidate that they thought would have the best chance of tackling this virus. It’s as simple as that and the American people seem to see it as simply as that.
You can forget about Sanders. He won’t get his chance ever now.
He’s too old.
Doesn’t concern me either way in Ireland, we have other concerns, like Brexit and another shower of untrustworthy shysters only a stone’s throw away from us in the UK.
