What was his network’s rational?

I am not watching much TV coverage, only following various tracking data aggregators, 538, WaPo, and analyst feeds, so I’m not really privy to the reasoning the likes of CNN, MSNBC, or FOX are giving for not calling it.

I assume it is because they want PA to go beyond the recount threshold, as that seems to be the prevailing theory amongst experts.
He was saying the network want to be 99.5 percent sure when calling any states won. Williams described how it worked and said the calling team have no access to any other media networks to influence them. Only laptops with the data.

Cheers.

Sounds as though exceeding the PA recount threshold may indeed be enough for a few major outlets to call the race for Biden, which will more than likely start an avalanche of officials calls.

This is the first time I’ve ever agreed with some of the never-ending MSM bashers who post here. It’s over; come on, y’all!

Actually I wouldn’t really care when you call it but I’ve got a couple of cold bottles of Pliny the Elder I’ve been saving and I want to drink them when it’s offic . . . Ah, fuck it. Where’s the bottle opener???

Unfortunately, all accurate. Philadelphians get a bad reputation for being insular, parochial and somewhat cranky, but deep inside we're just big old good natured teddybears.
My roommates (1male, 1female) know to not be around me during City matches. I don't care to answer questions about the game and, shame on me as a teacher for 32 years, don't feel it's my obligation to educate them. A couple of years ago, the Eagles won the Super Bowl, their motto was; "Nobody likes us and we don't care." That pretty much sums up the populace.

Sounds like a MARVELOUS recipe for a Friday night. I hope you have a DVR of the 6-1 at your disposal, made my afternoon special.:)

I heard a variation on this earlier today!

“If you are still having an election after 4 days, aren’t you supposed to go to hospital and see a doctor?”

And the other similar variation about Americans no longer being able to slag off cricket as lasting so long without getting a result!

Haha, been thinking it's like watching Boycott approach another century.

Got to hand it to those on CNN how they've managed to keep talking for nearly 72hrs since the last EV count change, although I suspect they've been throwing in some repeat footage every now and then without people noticing.

He referred to the 'Decision Desk' which is a panel of experts employed by the NBC network to simply analyse the data .. they have no access to news or TV channels. He said it wont be called until the 'Decision Desk' says so.

CNN wouldn't call it either because they called the Gore / Bush Florida result wrong which caused Gore to concede. He then had to phone Bush and 'unconcede' once the correct result was known.

My assumption is that the latter reason is probably why its not being called by the channels and also the reason why NBC has a 'Decision Desk'

Yeh its like the camera footage in Speed, we're just watching the same 2 hours of tv continously looped together. Anyway, must go, for some reason I have an overwhelming desire to purchase some Levi jeans and find out what Mice is in context to business travel.
