2022/2023 Scholarship intake

I think the kids msg these pages asking them to make posts about them for attention, to help increase their own followers on social media.
Bloody hell commercially Savvy at youth level, that’s interesting and possibly indicative of the money washing around the premier league. Probably not many Roy Keane coming through the system anytime soon then

Roy Keane? You mean players who will happily finish off a fellow professionals career and then brag about it? That Roy Keane?

Yep probably a controversial choice but was thinking no flash haircuts, cars, clothes, driven by ambition not money old school type players that ridiculed academy kids for turning up to training in fancy sports cars before they had made an impact on the game. He was the enemy but had one hell of a career. Let’s agree on Rodri then, modern day low profile, humble, yet world class midfielder.
Now I reflect on it, Shea Charles may or may not have top level career but he appears to keep a Rodriesque low profile so maybe it does still exist.
Either way good luck to them all, it’s easy to forget they are still kids carrying a lot of expectation and in todays social media world hype

"He was the enemy"???

Strange comment for a United supporter, or have you forgotten that your original username was @ericcatona7?

Not red, not blue, just Manc, strange but true.
All points valid?

I agree it definitely does exist. My personal opinion is that the youth don’t need to be splashed all over social media (especially if being compared to top flight pro’s) until their debut in the first team. Just keep a low profile and work hard behind the scenes. They’ll get the followers if they make a debut, you can gain over 100k followers quite easily and quickly after a debut at any of the big 6 clubs.

Agree, but wouldn’t rule out any kid of having a top flight career. Nobody has a crystal ball, some will hit the heights at 17-19 others may not until they’re 23-25
