2022 World Cup Discussion

That's linekers little political speech out the way .
He can take the money with a clean conscience now .

Might just start tuning in 2 minutes before kick offs

Cant be arsed listening to these speeches by a bunch of people still making their few quid out of it.

Not saying I don’t agree with the sentiment but come January, all of these in the BBC studio will settle back into life in England and won’t give a shit what goes on in Qatar.

Usual "BBC lefty/Marxist" etc.

Jug ears is a freelancer now so the Powers that be really can't bollock him. They could terminate his contract. I doubt that will happen unless he calls the UK government a nasty word.

I've pitched a couple of treatments for BBC Sport title sequences over the years and their brief doc stated for this WC they didn't want any references of Qatar in there.
it's still could have been decent though not whatever that shite was

They’ve had 12 years to talk about all these concerns. I don’t tune into a sports programme to be lectured on politics. Now they’re banging on about climate change. Stick to the fucking football on a football programme. There’s dedicated BBC news and politics channels for this shit.
Same here. Though I think they're attempting to rain on the parade. They'd get crucified if they ignored the controversy and just concentrated on what Qatar want everyone to concentrate on.

It's going to be shit though.

What channel are you on? I'm watching on Iplayer and there's been no politics, I've got a guy talking about how the Qatar team plays and how the Aspire Academt has changed football in the Middle East.
