2022 World Cup Discussion

I would agree with you, if we were playing the France that won the last World Cup. This version is light years away and although a good side with 1 exceptional player, I thin they are being a tad overrated by a few on here. I am going out on a limb and telling you now that England will win.
Any team that has Giroud as a starter shouldn’t be that good but he’s been effective, will Southgate have the bollocks to go with his attacking players and have a proper attempt at winning or will he go defensive? I think he’ll start the Dipper in midfield and that could be the downfall, this is France, not Wales or Senegal, it’s a level up and the Dipper isn’t good enough.

A lot of our foreign fans don't care about England and want the players back early, I want England to win the world cup and for us to win the PL, all competitions matter.

Never go full Klopp.

Agreed. England have several match winners that can take a game away from France. Should be an even game but for all the Mbappe love/fear, in the 1/4 against PSG, it was Foden, not Mbappe ripping it up and I hope to see more on Saturday. Im having a big pool party with a load of mates coming round and watching both games which means I’m relatively confident.

Best thing is though, an England loss would be sad but it wouldn’t ruin my week like a City loss.
England losing a World Cup QF is less of a disappointment than City losing a PL game ?

Yes. England even losing a semi or even the final would not register anywhere near as much as City losing to Brentford did.

I’m actually shocked you deemed it necessary to check.
All day long, if England lose I’ll be over it as soon as the final whistle goes, England is a fleeting affair, City is the long serving marriage.
