It’s a weird take that a perfect cross in to the path of someone running in to finish is “lucky” because the person he was passing to happened to be there. Might as well claim that someone smashing a 40 yarder into the top corner is lucky the goal happened to be where it is.

Wasn’t “lucky” I said “guess” which applies to a lot of crosses, it was a good ball in the danger area but he didn’t deliberately pass to Foden. That and his assist for Sterling in the Iran game are just about his overall contribution in three games he’s started.

That “perfect cross” was deflected. And based on the angle of his original kick, the ball was going nowhere near Foden without the deflection.
