I was sat beside a Scouser. He was sound, to be fair. Didn’t hang around for the presentation at the end though.
Great night. Well organised. You could tell the FAI had nothing to do with it.
Commiserated a few Leverkusen fans in Mulligans later.
Town was very peaceful. Fans walking together. I saw no trouble at all.

Atalanta totally outplayed them from start to finish.
Have to admit, none of us expected it, but they had their number.

Some of us did expect it ;-). 11 out of 25 votes for Atalanta to win.

With Leverkusen going for 52 unbeaten you really expected that they would have another gear, or alternative plan, but they just didn’t turn up.
Alonso didn’t change anything either. It was more of the same in the second half.
You could sense a third for Atalanta long before it happened.
Leverkusen just couldn’t get anything going in the opposing half. They were crowded out and out worked.
Quite impressive from the Italian side.
