20MPH Speed Limit - Wales

Most people in Wales in favour.
Wish it was in place where I live.
Bit weird driving at 1st but you get used to it.
Large number of English post codes on the petition and huge spike in searches for Welsh postcodes...
Happy to see how it pans out.

So what do you suggest ? There are other parties, ok one will burn the holiday homes down rather than just doubling the council tax but if Drakeford refuses to listen.....

Why do you need to drive 30mph in a residential area?

It's well know in the motor industry and government, the slower you go, the more pollution you throw out. Also, they know going slower creates congestion.

People are driving at 14 mph in 30's, 18-25mph in 40's around here. It's added 20 minutes to my morning delivery round. Powys council have spent shit loads of dosh on widening and installing footpaths that nobody uses to create bottle necks.

Every fuckin' day, people in town ignore the traffic and just walk across the road. They can't be bothered to walk the 10 metres to use the crossing. The WAG know why pedestrians get killed or injured on our roads.

I was surprised to see a lot of streets in Manchester are 20 and 40's have been reduced to 30's.

President Drakeford is a ****. Pootin would be proud of him.

When I was a kid my neighbors must have hated me, I was a terrorist on my motorbikes, I would ride at insane speeds through the village and countryside, quite amazing I lived through it. Now I’m no spring chicken, fast drivers in built up areas really piss me off, I can only think with the width of the roads over there it has to be a good thing.
Easy to say from over here as I don’t have to personally deal with it but all school zones over here are 25 mph during school time, seems sensible to me

If only it was only residential areas... it's not. No one objects or objected to schools, old peoples homes and hospitals etc being subject to 20mph restrictions, in fact it is/was welcomed..... but everywhere? Maybe you should try it when its safe to do so, every road you can drive 30mph on, try driving 20mph, it is no fun and is definitely a strain on your car.

It is every restricted road (roads that are currently 30 in England) that has been reduced to 20 with very very few exceptions.
