I really liked sane but then when opposition sit so deep it became harder for him to make an impact and I think that was partly why pep didn’t start him as often as he would have liked.

that’s why it wouldn’t harm if we, particularly in away games, tried to shift a little away from the outright domination of the ball and territory and give us some opportunities to counter.Apparently more pragmatic approach in terms of line ups at least since Madrid awaywould appear to indicate we may do that.

I think Pep would prefer to dominate possession against all teams if he can. Teams like Madrid are good in possession as to why we played like that. If you're talking about setting up like that against Spurs for example I doubt it. It just gives them more opportunities to score against us.

You could be right, but dont think Pep would give up ball possession one bit.
What we need to do is approach it as when we did have Sane...kerp the wingers wide to stretch the back line abd maje the pitch bigger.

And this is crucial in order for Torres to show his abiluty - we need to shift ut through to him in those position where he has the defender 1v1 really quick.

No passing it around (as we know we can, and very well) because if we dont then he will be left double marked and that defeats the object imo

Yes move the ball quicker when we have the opportunity to do so.

Unfair to compare Ferran to Sane. How anyone can judge him on 1 game is crazy. He was quiet so what. Bit of patience needed.

How many times are we gonna write a player off before he is given the chance to settle and perform?

Same with the Dias thread. He is not Kompany but who is? Sane was fantastic but he is gone also. Expecting ferran to be sane is not going to happen.

He looked like Sane when he first joined. Through the Sané experience, I learned to be patient with players cuz I though Sané was disappointing at first and look how he turned out.
