City were terrifying when we had Sane on the left and Sterling on the right, shitloads of tap ins from the putting the ball back in the box to our strikers or late runs from midfielders.
Yes, and every opposition coach saw that too, which is why they now defend that run.
Think the answer is play Sterling and Torres and keep switching them.

We were talking about this last night. We are reduced to taking pot shots these days, we simply aren't creating opportunites of the quality we have been used to

Such a downgrade when football is getting faster and faster. I think wingers should always swap sides throughout the match really especially if you find a player to target.
If we could have some type of Aussie Rules addition to football with goal posts either side and height is no restriction, Mahrez would kill it. Such a frustrating player.

So what's his strength? He isn't as talented as Sane and doesn't have the 1v1 abilities from Sane.

Im curious to know where his strength lies? Maybe he is a good passer and shooter?

I don't think we know how talented he is just yet. He's four years younger than Sané. He also hasn't had an ACL injury (and reinjured the same knee almost immediately.)

Sane is such an exciting footballer to watch but some people forget that he could sometimes struggle to affect games where the teams sat deep and he had no space to run into. His body language would quickly change in those games too when he became frustrated. I think Torres might be able to offer something different in those kind of games.

I have followed him since he was 17 and I think these are his main qualities: technically excellent and can use both feet; good dribbling skills and can beat a man and then deliver, quickly, before the opponent can respond; good crosser and passer of the ball and can finish with both feet. In all those areas, I believe he is superior to Leroy. What he cannot match, and very few in world football can, is Leroy's pace and athleticism which made Leroy such a dangerous foe. Now most teams sit back in banks of four, I think that Ferran will be more successful for us than Leroy would have been.

Why don't we just wait and see instead of playing this stupid fucking game of pretending we know how good a young player is and then changing our minds every week depending on his latest performance?

I'm not trying to single you out but the ink on his contract is barely dry and people are already making stupid assumptions about how good he will or won't be.

Sane was wank for months, Bernardo was an invisible man for months, Mahrez took about a year to pass to anyone, Sterling took a season or two to really get going and the list goes on. Patience.
