Why does he play better for Spain than for us?
He's been rubbish last few appearances
Think you might eat those words in the future.

What do you expect when he sits on the bench most games. Not really his fault that Pep has found a reliable core of players to choose from. He needs time to settle in.
Now that Sergio is leaving, he's probably the most natural finisher at the club.Honestly, not saying the guy's a carbon copy or anything, but the way he takes the ball in his stride and finishes reminds me of Sergio. Been thinking about that since his goal against Olympiakos.
They're playing against infinitely inferior opposition is a big reason. Why does he play better for Spain than for us?

Great foresight...from the 23rd March.Ferran is probably the only City player for which the international break will be a benefit (from a City point of view).
If he gets significant game time against Greece, Georgia and Kosovo it should help with his sharpness/match fitness and, if he plays well, his confidence.
I think like a lot of players who come to the PL, they are surprised on the pace and physicality. When I watch him play for us he looks bemused at fouls not given to him. Where as in Spain he'd probably get a foul. In some of these Intl. matches he has more space where in the PL you get closed down quicker as well. He will learn. Saying all of this you can see he's a talented player. I think he has a good first touch. I'm surprised on throw ins when he gets the ball he's able to gather it or play it quickly back to one of our players. I think he would do well as an inside forward more than out wide in he future. Why does he play better for Spain than for us?

None of our attackers under Pep really kicked on in their first season. Usually got better after a year
Under the last three managers, the only attacking player who completely hit the ground running and kicked on from there was Sergio. And he is a once in a generation forward. Dias is a notable case among defenders to have delivered immediately.
Players are not robots with a switch at the back.
I honestly miss Negredo, despite his short time with us. Think Pep would love him; robust, hardworking and excellent ball technique.Negredo hit the ground at full pelt then stacked it into a ditch.
Gabby was good from the start too. goal and assist on first start and ended with 7 goals & 4 assists in 10 games.
Guess his goals against Germany were against inferior opposition....They're playing against infinitely inferior opposition is a big reason.
Great finish but it's the rest of his game that needs to improve. Can only be good for his confidence to continue to score for Spain though. One of the few who will have benefitted from international duty.
The team that just got beat by North Macedonia?Guess his goals against Germany were against inferior opposition....
Would you bet against them this summer? The team that just got beat by North Macedonia?
I don't gamble but yeah, they're not very good.Would you bet against them this summer?
They always have crap results just before a tournament. Nice to see you dragging one of our own down though.I don't gamble but yeah, they're not very good.
Not in qualifying they don't, first loss since England 5-1 apparently. As for dragging one of our own down, I've done nothing of the sort? They always have crap results just before a tournament. Nice to see you dragging one of our own down though.
