I wouldn’t mind if he was getting a bit of grief because he’s been poor but that’s not even the case!
He’s looked a quality player with all the tools needed to succeed in the premier league as well as shining already in the CL.

He is a young kid, playing in a new country and should be given time to adapt. In a perfect world he would be playing domestic cup games and getting 30 mins here and there in the PL and CL. On this basis Torres is performing arguably better than expected. We shouldn’t be giving him grief because his older, more experienced peers aren’t producing the goods. If we are looking to this kid to right all of our wrongs we are in deep shit.

The same people will have said that David Silva was too lightweight for the PL and been critical of him but now think he's the best player to have ever played for us (which he probably was). Torres has shown glimpses of being a top, top talent. He is 20.

I rarely visit now after a loss, or even a draw, because the negativity is ridiculous. It's new too: we finished second last year yet the season is condemned by many on here as a complete failure, ignoring the fact that our whole left side was decimated for the whole year. Since when was 2nd even a failure anyway? We all want to win but we have lost Kompany, David Silva, Fern is 35 and not what he was and Aguero is now injured for more than he plays.

What we now have is the nauseating experience of the same posters criticising the same players, game after game, and not even now showing any patience to a Golden Boy nominee who has made a good start to his career with us and who clearly has enormous potential. The clue is in the word 'supporter'.

He's been at the club for 3 months but not yet a world beater , our transfers really are quite poor.

Not really the point he was making. Apart from being a good finisher he’s not showing many other signs of a potential great player. That’s not really being critical just an observation so far.
