Not really the point he was making. Apart from being a good finisher he’s not showing many other signs of a potential great player. That’s not really being critical just an observation so far.

Obviously my mistake.

I suspect that the people who actually make the signings might have anticipated the issues the player faced coming to a new country and system and yet still felt confident in the player's ability to adapt , over a period of time , and not just 3 months.

Just an observation you understand .

Torres is a good player but he is no Leroy, I am not sure how people got caught up in the hype madness by comparing him to Leroy.
He’s 20, half Sane’s price and is in a misfiring team. Sane wasn’t brilliant in his first season, and I’m a massive Sane fan. Be patient. Torres’ stats for the minutes he’s played is pretty decent and he’s scoring consistently in the CL. We’ve bought well here.

Leroy didn't start especially well, was then phenomenal and then was injured. On his return, he was not the same player. I think he is a potential Ballon D'or winner, a huge talent, but he didn't want to stay.

In Torres, we have bought a player considered one of the best young players in the world from the age of 16. He has started at a decent level but he is 20, in a new country, team and league. Any one of us in those circumstances would want support from the club and its fans. With that support, at least we have a chance of becoming the best we can. Without it, it's likely we will fail.

Patience is something seriously lacking in many whilst having the ability to make long term assessments instantly.

Far too logical for BM oldius .

So should people not offer opinions on a football forum about footballers until they’ve been here 12 months? Nobody is slagging the lad off and everyone is aware how much Sane struggled initially. Forgive me for not having a great deal of faith in everyone we sign being the right signing after so many average transfer windows during the past couple of years.

Now you have the passive-aggressive stuff out of the way, here are two opinions: We should support our team, not endlessly slag off a small group of players because we don't want them to play and prefer Foden to play every match. When we have a new player, especially a young one from abroad, we don't need to insinuate that he is not as good as one who didn't want to stay with us, especially not after he has one full PL game under his belt.
