He excites me whenever i see him, i think he would provide more in terms of attacking ability than Zini and since he's a converted LB his defending won't be as good as a specialist LB but hopefully will get better with time

Plenty of potential and you can see why the club bought him. He looks good offensively and put in a great cross for the 5th goal, but some work to be done defensively.

At the very least, he's quick enough to get back from advanced positions and he doesn't look positionally bad from the limited amount I've seen him.

He will be taught how to defend our way, which I guess isn't your typical defensive style

Ultimately, he is another threat from out wide with brilliant crossing ability, so I think he will be ideal for us

It can't be a surprise to anybody that he's weak defensively. Zinny was/still is but he improved massively in that area.

Gomez's ability on the ball is evident which means that we can concentrate on improving his defending. Think he'll be a very, very shrewd signing personally. And he's a blue!

I like him. We are way to quick to jump on any perceived weakness these days, give the lad some time to settle in and I believe he will do so handsomely.

Hopefully. With us being at home you’d think he’d start. I don’t see any need to play Ake at LB instead of him. Back 4 should be Gomez, Laporte, Dias, Cancelo if Laporte is able to do 60 mins. Then Ake comes on for him in the 2nd half. If we’re able to get a lead I’d also bring Akanji on for Cancelo to protect him and just let Akanji see the game out at RB. But that depends on how the game is going and if we are able to kind of coast a bit in the 2nd half.
