But it’s his first playing in a team that is struggling at times. Most past City left backs would have not shone in that awful team performance.

He was no better or worse than anyone. He was good against Chelsea.

I do wonder if that’s the last we’ll see of him. No more little cup games (FA Cup is a different animal and Pep’s only won it once) or dead rubbers in the CL to ease himself in.

Done himself no favours, mind. When Zinchenko was starting out you could see the quality and the willingness and determination to succeed. Just don’t see that with Gomez, he’s just weak defensively and too safe with the ball.
