The only shining light on today’s game is hopefully Mendy will never wear our shirt again, ABSOLUTELY WANK

We got this 1 wrong. I will give him leeway due to his injuries but his time is up. He has no recovery pace, can’t pass or cross.

Lame duck lb...put him out of his misery pep.

I take it you meant shift? I don't doubt Mendy's effort he just isn't good enough. I presume the injuries have taken a massive toll on him.
One can only hope that was the reason Reese James was having a jolly against him down the wing every time!

He can whip the ball in, but he can’t defend, has no pace, and his recovery runs mean he is running INSIDE to cover for a CB who has to come to his rescue.

Today, we tried to blunt that a bit with a 5/3 across the back, but Reese James just ended Mendy’s top, top flight career.

He has been found out too many times to put it down to a bad performance. Reese James chested the ball past him and ran. Within 10m, he was 5m ahead. Some of that was Mendy’s defensive body position (terrible) and some of it was down to lack of pace (embarrassing), but it highlighted his defensive frailties.

Walker is our RB, Zin is our LB. Cancelo, Ake & Laporte can all cover those two positions. If not, we need a young LB on the cheap!

Yeah there's no need for the hate, he's trying but it's just not happening for him. What an expensive flop this will turn out to be, if we sell him for peanuts in the summer.

He's got two years left on huge wages so no club is buying him. A loan with us paying nearly all of those wages is the best we can expect.

Some serious pricks on here.

He was world class when we signed him. He got badly injured. Playing for us.

It happens.

He cannot give any more, it’s not in him.

He’ll likely go this Summer.
Never, ever been a world class player. Not even in his best season at Monaco. We won't make any money out of him, just need to, sorry have to, let him go for free. I don't think he is good enough to be 3th option for LB and I'm not even joking

I agree there should be no abuse but looking at it constructively I honestly can't think of many worse fullbacks in 50 years of watching City. The ones that spring to mind are Tony Vaughan and Lee Crooks but that was in the third division. It is amazing that he is still playing for any PL team after his injury. For example, I have never seen any our players consistently blast crosses out for throw-ins as much as he does.
He is just shot. Not down to his overall ability.

stop talking shit. Of course he was world class at Monaco, and his first run of games for us.

Just let him go out on a subsidised loan, no big deal, just needs to go. Fuck the finances, he’s wank.

Again, as I’ve said before, I’ll add that it’s the injuries that have killed him, but it is what it is. Get rid.
I’ll also add, the best bit imo is we don’t need to replace him this summer - we have Zinchenko, Ake, Laporte and Cancelo which is more than adequate whilst we prioritise other positions.

He was great at Monaco and in his first few games for us but then he was crocked. The thing I don't understand is why we have kept him on. There is no time for sentiment in football. He is a million miles away from PL standard. It's not like Pep who is usually ruthless about these sort of decisions. I mean look at how few games Sergio has played in the last 18 months. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions. Mendy costs us every time he plays.

Loyalty. Plain and simple. Just like Mangala, Bony and the rest of those types of players we eventually cut them loose.

No-its called a contract. There have been glimpses-he teasesz us, but the reality is his body cannot do it-and Pep and the est will know that. He's a squad piece. He'll stay or subsidised loan.

There is that as well but we gave him a real chance. I am not suggesting we should keep him beyond this season at all.
