Happy 5-1 Day Blues. Still one of the greatest days ever. Only better by May 13th 2012. Never let 'em forget.

Still my favourite home derby even with the 1-0 from Vinny taken into account.

Rags getting turfed from the NS, Ralph Milne MOM? Think baconface was on the pop even then, slippy Jim on his knees, Mrs Moon bouncing on a rags feet in her heels for the third goal (he didn't reappear for the second half, Docherty on Picc radio 'you can put your house on a rag win', James H taking the piss afterwards, the enjoyment in the Radcliffe in Chadderton that evening with half the pub looking like they were ready to burst into tears, the other half bouncing all night.

Mel's Marvels 5 Fergies Wallet 1.

Brilliant day. We were winning 3-0 at half time & totally pummelling them. Hughes scored for them just after half time & the typical City doubts started! The nerves settled down when we got our fourth.
Weren‘t the rumours that Mel Machin got the sack because Swales thought he wasn’t giddy enough after that win?

Great memories for many, but are we not being a bit small-time to keep going on about this one-off game that changed nothing for us that season?
Absolutely not.

We had f*ck all to shout about in those days, but that gave us something to shout about and made Monday morning bearable for once.
