24 Hours In Police Custody

When they were lying on those stretchers in the road I was hoping they were crippled for life if not heading for death.
But no, as soon as they were able they were back on the job.
Scum like this are not Robin Hoods they are simply vermin.

Thanks for the summary.
Clearly the criminal justice system is failing on the middle word.
Career criminals need removing from the system.
Doesn't need to be jails. Just build huge buildings and put tags on them. They have to report every night to the building 6pm to 6am with one meal at 11pm. Give them an uncomfortable chair to try and sleep on. Let them go home and return at 6pm.
No dole or benefits. They have to get a job and report at night. Inconvenience the fuckers and their families and their social lives.
If they fail to turn up once or take the tag off then lock the scrotes up.
The first party to put that in their manifesto will get elected.

One of the scrotes was 27 I think, already had two kids and his present girlfriend was pregnant and due to give birth in a couple of weeks. He's burbling on about how he wanted to be a mechanic but there was easier ways to make money, in other words crime. Both of them had convictions as long as your arm. What do we do with these people? The majority are career criminals. If you gave them a job they wouldn't want it, stealing, taking drugs and shagging is all they want to do. Going inside is a hazard of their life choice and there is a free solicitor and an army of social workers etcetera who will fight to get them the lightest sentence possible. Going inside doesn't faze them as all their scrote mates are in there and they know the system.

Me? I'd set out mandatory minimum sentences. No arguments, they'd know if they commit these crimes that's the minimum time they'd get. Everytime they reappear for the same crimes it's double. So house burglary three years first offence, six second, twelve third and so on. Fuck their sob stories and human rights there's millions of hard working people had just as tough lives and they're preyed on by these scumbags. What about their human rights? It's often the same people reoffending so get them put away for longer. I get fed up of watching interviews with fifty year old tossers who now say they're sorry for their past lives and are now going straight. It's too fucking late! What about the decades of pain and misery they've visited on decent normal people before this? Fuck them, bang them up throw away the key.

One was on crutches committing crime again the first chance he got. I'd give them a lethal jab and throw them in a bin.

I agree with most comments above, but I'd also give em an extra 6-12 months for every 'no comment' answer they give.
None of this suspended stuff.

I shouldn't have watched that before I went to bed my blood is fucking boiling! He justice system is a fucking shambles.

The poor man was protecting his home and more importantly his family from two scumbags carrying weapons breaking into his own home! In my eyes they got away lightly with broken ribs/legs ect...If they broke into my house whilst my wife and kids were inside I would slit their throats. Two fucking bastards.

22 months in prison, A house they've worked hard for GONE, A family they were building GONE, When he gets out he probably won't get a job again because he has a criminal record...The two scumbags that broke in get away scott free.. just fuck off.

I do have sympathy for the bloke. And even more for his wife, who felt she had no option but to terminate her pregnancy due to the uncertainty.

But unfortunately it just isn’t true to say he was protecting his home and his family. He was doing the opposite of that in fact. He was seeking vengeance. You can argue that’s totally understandable and I wouldn’t necessarily disagree. You can’t allow for acts of retribution not to be covered by law. It was up to a jury to decide if he was guilty, once he decided to run a trial. And as sad as the whole thing was, his comments on camera before the case, suggested he did himself no favours in there.

None of that is disagreeing with anybody suggesting that career criminals such as the two thieves shouldn’t be dealt with much harsher, just to be clear.

I have a lot of .22 shells, a lot. One in the ear is job done, don't even have to strap the **** down
You want to shoot them in the base of the skull. Instant death. No mistakes. But anyone who wants to kill somebody probably needs locked up too. I’ve seen the eyes of folk who have killed. It’s not a happy place.

Like most we were in disbelief at the outcome. The punishments shouldve been absolutely reversed.

He was pretty stupid for pursuing them i agree, but fuck me hed have been applauded by me if hed wiped them out.
Just utter fuckin pond life. Career criminals of the worse kind. Cunts

Totally agree his actions required a punishment. Couldve killed an innocent by stander.
But 2 years in nick will ruin a bloke like thats life.

The pressure of what happened, the stress of being on bail etc wouldve been more than sufficient punishment for a guy like him. He shouldve got the community service and the suspended sentence and the two tramps taken off the street to do everyone a favour.

People have had enough. Police cant/wont do fuck all. Hear the guy round the corner that has had attempted vehicle thefts 7 times in 12 months? Thats sort of shit puts people over the edge

As I watched it unfold I knew he was going to be fucked. He showed no remorse or concern for the two scrotes condition from the moment the emergency services arrived or at anytime the programme continued. Nobody blames him for that as he was rightly annoyed with them but it's not a good look. He did however ask immediately if he would go to prison. He was also too forthcoming in his interviews. This is why the scrotes rightly always go no comment. Somebody with no dealings on how the system works will chat and chat hoping that the police will see what a decent person they are. They might but as he found out to his cost they're not his mates and deal in cold hard facts, as unfair as they might seem.

He must have had a shit barrister and come up against a jury and judge who side with the poor misunderstood criminal rather than a law abiding person plunged into a nightmare not of their own making. It's a once in a lifetime mistake for him, it's unlikely he'll ever come to the attention of the justice system ever again. He's lost his life savings fighting the case, his child that was terminated and his home as they have to move now, if they didn't already lose it due to him being in prison and unable to afford the upkeep. I hope his barrister appealed and got his sentence reduced but that wasn't mentioned in the programme so probably not.

That's it exactly. If people feel the police and justice system can't or won't protect them more people will feel they have to do it themselves. The fear needs putting back into the criminals and away from law abiding citizens

Excellently well written post

Let ‘em get inside, unload the Glock, say nothing, get an attorney who simply says “Armed intruders, feared for his life and the lives of his family” on repeat

Bish, bash, bosh. No more burglaries, no car chase, no lawsuit.

I hear all the anger, but when I said the above in the past I was accused of being Judge, Jury and Executioner (and that was the nicest thing!).

I would NEVER seek a Jury trial! I’d take a panel of judges everytime.

Leaving the house was the big mistake!

Move the family to a safe location, call 999 (911 in States) and take up a defensive position. They come closer…it ends. You’ve done your part.

My home is my castle and I will protect my family at all costs.
We had a big disagreement a couple of weeks ago but I'm (mostly) with you on this.

If someone enters a private property with malicious intent then whatever happens to them inside that property, or as a result of their malicious entry onto that property, should be their own personal risk. And the people who own that property should not be held responsible for their actions.

This is why when you do a job you do it proper with a trip up to the moors (other isolated places can also be used...)with a shovel. Hard to be done by the law when there’s no bodies.

What an absolute Cesspit of a Country we live in.

It's out of control. There seems to be at least a couple of stabbing everyday and most resulting in death. Widespread anti social behaviour and a lack of disrespect throughout society. Here's the delightful children of our own City.

It’s all down to respect Chapo, these feral kids don’t even respect their parents so how do you expect them to respect society

I know Trafford GMP are constantly having to disrupt large gangs of youths on the Altrincham tram route. I've been at stations and on the tram when they've mobbed it, not a pleasant experience.
