I’d hope you are correct. It just seems more and more just want instant justice.

Well that would come down to how serious the crime committed against you was. Petty theft from a garden is probably not quite worth chasing down in public at high speeds and getting yourself locked up.
Coming inside your property tooled up in any capacity is a whole new ball game though.
I have pretty high wall going around my house with several cameras and spotlights pointing outside so it’s not something I tend to worry about.

If you defend you property and in doing so sort the scrotes out, you can argue the excessive force element and rightly get away with doing most things to them whilst they are in your house.

If you chase them out if your house and run them down, that becomes a premeditated action that will see you get prison time.

But, like I’ve just responded to Mr Stoke, you can’t drive off and hunt them down. That isn’t necessary force and will see you convicted.

If it’s in your house with a baseball bat, you wouldn’t do time.
