24 Hours In Police Custody

Watched it just now.

The lad was silly to pursue them once the threat had gone. That’s no longer protecting your family or home.

He was even sillier blabbing like a 12 year old girl to the dibble at every fucking opportunity.

Never, ever speak to the dibble.

Typical of somebody with no experience of dealing with them. He wrongly thought he'd done the right thing stopping two thieves getting away and they'd overlook he'd smashed his car into them nearly killing them in the process. Everytime he opened his mouth he screwed himself more.

indeed he is, but the idea that burglars, and it's complete speculation that had he not been at home just what would those burglars have done are able to sue for damages just sticks in a lot of people's craws!
Unless there’s a civil restraint order in place anyone can sue anyone DE! I’d be careful I were you :-)

I get that and to an extent I agree. But he said he didn't know what they'd taken (if anything) and he's a sparky, so all his equipment was in the garage.

He obviously just lost it and went, we all lose it at some point. I'm not sure how it was in the public interest to charge him. I don't feel safer... or want people to feel like they have no power or any rights if they get broken into.

Yes he was silly, but I would bet that half of us on here would do similar.

I had my car broken into the other week and photography stuff taken. But before that my car and house has been attempted 4 times in 18 months. Once I went out with a pool cue i have next to the bed.... If i catch one and smash it over their back/head as they're running away with whatever they've taken, would you say that's wrong? I wouldn't

These sorts of threads can go round in circles and ive put all my 2p’s in but ill leave it with this..

About a year ago my pal was woken in the night to find 3 plebs in balaclavas on his landing.
He chased them off out the house and rang the filth.
Anyway, police advised him to have a little something bedside , maybe a big torch , a big heavy metal, foot long torch … everyone has a torch … dont they?

Unfortunately the law says it’s wrong and when you’re up in front of a judge and jury that is what will most likely count. As this case involved a high speed car chase which could have endangered others and the damage caused to the scrotes was considerable the punishment he received was correct.
That’s not me agreeing btw, just the reality of the situation.
