It's almost as if txiki and co. did their homework, identified our top target went all out for him, paid the big money that we usually walk away from because they knew how special he will be.

i agree...the other user quoted an old opinion which is still true to "dunk" on me when we won convincingly..odd

Absolutely class tonight. Mopped up everything, was strong and powerful in defence and his touch and technique is a joy and you don't often say that about a defender. Got great vision as well.

Agree that he had a great performance, but he does have to eradicate the poor square (often blind) pass inside that gets intercepted too often.

Other than that, solid as a rock and love when he’s playing with Kova or Bernie over there, because they give him plenty of pass option angles to help him out and make him look even better.

@vanchi Gvardilol has been superb the last few games
Would love to see him playing centre back though.
Reminds me of a Baresi or a Hansen

Similiar to Rodri in terms of that even when he was struggling you had to blind to not see there is a really special player just waiting to come out
