Does Pep see him as a left back going forward or is the plans till to put him to centre back and buy 2 new full backs. Probably the first option.

Agree. Gvardiol makes too many defensive errors to be trusted at CB IMO. Plus we just signed Reis and Khusanov which indicates that Pep probably wants to play Gvardiol at LB.
 
this is exactly what i’m talking about, city fans, en masse, all over the internet incessantly shit on him saying he cannot defend.

can’t play cb? he was literally the best young cb in the world when city signed him, wtf do you know about him as cb when he’s playing everywhere else.

city players don’t need rival fans to shit on them when their own fans incessantly do so, unless they’re erm, favorites, i’ll leave it at that.

do I have sir's approval to "incessantly shit" on josko for another defensive masterclass tonight, or are we only allowed to criticize the "team" for this performance without naming any names?

Signed as one of the most promising young centre backs in world football, but because of shite planning he gets shifted to left back.
I'm getting pissed off with this jack of all trades master of none transfer policy.
I don't want to sign anymore players who are ok in various positions, I want to sign best in class in their position and actually fucking play them there.

I think the bigger issue is that pep seems to have given up on the concept of fullbacks as if he was so scarred by cancelo he doesn't want to ever sign another one and would rather just buy a centre back or midfielder and have them play that position. Not that i mind Gvardiol playing as a left back mind you every time ive seen him as a cb for us he hasn't been great.

but you see no problem at all with szoboszlai left unmarked there of course, all on joško. y i’m shocked. ;)

also, he was the second top goalscorer for half a season but his goals don’t mean anything, right.
 
I don't think Gvardiol, Ake or Dias defended well tbh.

Khusanov was the best of the bunch.

He is clearly at his best when he can overlap on the left and combine with the left winger.

But I don't think I ever saw him combine with Doku, it was surprisingly passive for him, he would usually underlap or overlap our left winger, clear instruction by Pep, but this is a detriment to Gvardiol's game.

Do you do anything other than defend your countryman every time he puts down his regular defensive disasterclass? Is there any mistake he can do that you won't immediately rush to his defense? I don't care that you have some sort of patriotic pride, we are a football team and he will be criticized for being shit defensively. supposed to be a centerback allegedly.

Shouldn't matter what Szoboszlai is up to. Gvardiol had Salah wide in the box and he let him cut inside. Salah's movement with the ball at his feet in the box is so damn predictable. It's like being surprised Arjen Robben cut inside onto his left foot!

enough with your xenophobic bs, where did i defend him, i just pointed out you’re not capable of constructive criticism, but this time you managed to wait until the game was over, unlike last time.

was szoboszlai unmarked or not? fuck all to do with my nationality
