I remember reading earlier on in the season that Dortmund fans were apparently not sorry to see him go!!!

Well he’s been fantastic for City. What a bargain.

Deserved that goal and happy it's been awarded to him

Akanji has been fantastic this year, he really has.

Not many players thrive in their first year under Pep but he's exceeded all expectations. And he's done it playing across the entire backline

Echoing what everyone else has already said. Can’t remember the last time he’s had a poor game to be honest.

Not saying he’s as talented, but when you see some of the asking prices for these CB/LB today (Gvardiol), you start to realize what an absolute robbery this transfer was.

I know he had a shaky few weeks in the middle of the season but I've come to really like and respect the guy. Been brilliant for 90% of his matches and seems a great personality. Give me him over a Cancelo any day.

Also, that mental maths thing he can do is absolutely crazy.

I'd love us to make more signings like him. Gamble a bit on talented players who haven't had the best luck but come to us cheaply.

I think the best way to praise him is that if Laporte left in the summer and Dias or Stones did their ACL in August, I'd trust Manu to come in and partner the other and we'd still win the league.

yeah, i dont know what it is but he wasnt nearly as good for dortmund. If he was we wouldnt have bough him so cheap, chelsea wouldve probably got him amidst their spending spree

That’ll do pig!

Yet another solid performance, capped off by a cornrow tickle into the net!!

Keep up the great work!!!
