As I said, he had to stretch out as far as he could to get any contact on the ball. It was unlucky on his part.

The same thing happened 2 minutes before, as he was second to an innocuous ball into the box.

Some weird opinions here, he's at full stretch to get a touch on the ball for their goal. The errors for that goal were in the build up way before it reached him, walker and stones should never have let mitoma get the ball across, and rodri should have intercepted. Akanji actually had a good game until the braindead red. Deserves a bollocking for that, it was a lazy and stupid second yellow and now unavailable for the derby.

Akanji is one of those players that some people rave on about but for the life of me i dont see it.
Hes been weak this season and cost us 2 goals by piss poor defending (wolves and today)

You're correct It doesn't, It can be both, I just don't believe akanji has made a glaring error there. He's covering the pass into the guy in the middle which is his priority there, the balls gone behind him he's stretched to get something on it. It's just unfortunate in my eyes. The poor defending was walker and stones allowing the cross.
