Agreed.Oh I dont care that Pep experimented with that.

strange he got so much flack from everywhere for the Sevilla game...as far i remember only Walker,Ake,Gvardiol had the chance to prevent the goal..even the chance with the big save from eddy were more Walkers/Gvardiols "fault"
I think he`s our most versatile CB (along the back 4 he can play everywhere at a good/high defensive level) & has a better technical skillset than Ake or Diaz to play the CB/ZM pivot. In combination with his pace & relative reliability regarding injuries (compared to Stones/Ake) he will play a lot of games. His weaknesses seems to be defensive headers (lack of jumping power/timing?) & lack of concentration/confidence in some phases of the game

Little bit early for to be saying that. Athens just showed he can’t play the Stones role. Akanji is a strange one because of some basic errors like against Brentford at home last season, Burnley last week, or in the Champions League final, but just as much he is capable of a rock-solid performance. It's a bit of hit and miss with him. For me, he has always been a backup for all of our back 4 positions, and since we had injuries at the back last season/this season, he has been playing way more than expected. This season, he will probably be back to a backup option. That's why we brought him in as a deadline-day transfer. Overall it's what Borussia Dortmund fans said. He is a great player but with a mistake in him. Out of our defenders, for me, he is last in the pecking order. I like him at RB/ or RCB, but not paired with Ake.

This season jeez we have played 1 game and players still getting match fit for due to a shorter than normal pre season.
