You certainly didn't watch the same game I did. He passed them practically every time.

Most will disagree, but I thought he was decent last night and was brimming with confidence

You're right, we'll disagree.

Personal highlight for me was when just inside the Oxford half, with space in front, he turned and passed it to an Oxford player in our half.

As usual, a joy to watch, a world class player that only blind, biased and clueless people can not see what he offers on the pitch.

There was countless occasions he could have passed to Foden in space, but chose to hogg the ball to the detriment of a counter attack. Flatters to deceive, in the majority of games he starts in.

I like Mahrez but I get the feeling he's not as comfortable as he should be, maybe it's the coming to a big club thing but he just seems a bit outside of the team mentally.

Really think out wide is where the frustration comes from. I would like to see him in a false 9 role or in David's role as one of the 2 "strikers" in our current 4-4-2 set up.

Everytime I see him attacking central channels is when he looks the most dangerous.

This is part of why I'm not sure we need to buy another striker, we essentially go 4-4-2 with a striker and attacking midfielder.

Even with Aguero retiring we have Jesus, Foden, Kevin, Mahrez, and Bernardo who can play in these roles, as well as Sterling or another winger (although I'd prefer our quick wingers wide and coming inside). We are flexible in that sense.

There have been times when he’s played and I can’t believe he would be a £15m player, not a club record at the time.

There have been others where I’ve thought “wow, cracking display, needs a run of games” and then he’s dropped the next week and comes back two weeks later and has a stinker.

Next time he plays well, he has to stay in the team and build on that. Then we can see what he’s actually like.

Sterling plays every week no matter how much he stinks the place out.

At the moment I have no idea what Mahrez is going to bring to us. It’s either dreadful or he’ll score and set two up in a great display; no in between, but not nearly enough decent games.

if you thought his lack lustre performance last night was a joy to watch then it is you who is clueless. He needs to up his game and attitude or he will be moved on
