I always get an impression that he used to run a bit faster when he was on Leicester's books. Maybe he's not getting the right vitamin supplements at City?

He was arguably Leicester's best player and they've improved as a team since he left. I'm not saying that's down to him leaving but I think Leicester fans would be a bit sick of him if he was playing for their current team.

Whether it's a criticism or to his credit, he tries to force something to happen every time he gets the ball. In his Leicester days that was fine because relying on individual quality was pretty much the order of the day. But we have a squad of equally talented players who, in my opinion, he holds back by trying to force the issue every single time.

Sometimes, when nobody else is stepping up, it works to our benefit but the rest of the time it's a hindrance.

I thought his signing was a head scratcher from day one and, other than a couple of brief patches, it's really not worked out.

I come to the point where I feel Mahrez hasn't got the workrate and the guts to make the difference at the top.
Fine player, great left foot, but I see his strengths just not often enough.

Margins are fine at the top and personality often makes the difference.

Maybe we should change our transfer strategy a bit and aquire the "difference"-player instead of 2 or 3 "nearly top" players
who are actually too expensive at 50-60m.
Both ways are risky and could fail. A lot of luck involved anyway too.

As usual, a joy to watch, a world class player that only blind, biased and clueless people can not see what he offers on the pitch.

There’s a good chance I am all three of those, but I don’t think the accusation stands when a good majority of our fan base think he’s shite. Everybody I go to home games with thinks he shit and going off this forum that opinion doesn’t change much.

He's certainly not shit, I'm sorry but that's just as absurd as any fan boy nonsense.

I question his character, he doesn't do it consistently enough for me but there's no doubting he's top quality when on his game.

If he was a youth player then expectations wouldn't be so high. But he isn't, he's our record buy and he just hasn't lived up to expectations. Bang average most games.

It’s not. The blokes a shithouse. For our record signing he should be putting the same amount of effort everyone else does on the pitch. Comes up with the occasional good goal or assist, but he isn’t consistent enough for City. He’s nowhere near the standard of Leroy or Sterling, you could say Bernardo from last season but his form has fallen off a cliff this season.

He’s not shit, just appears lazy and selfish with little return. Not sure if he’s just looking for a move or if his best days are behind him. He’s so predictable when he picks the ball up out side the area. I don’t know the answer, maybe Pep wants him to play like that.
I wish he had upped his work rate and output from last season, but it looks like he’s going backwards or stagnating.
