This is a pretty disingenuous use of stats.

Its his job to create chances.

What's his chances created in 2020?

Contributed 20 goals and assists in 33 games in 19/20 for example. Harder to get calendar year stats and not really relevant or fair especially given the year we've had.

Plus he's 5th in the league for key passes per game in 20/21 behind Kev, Grealish, Fernandes and James who are all pretty good (you could probably argue having two City players actually reduces their numbers too)

Yep he had a reasonable 19/20 but the drop off in his 18 appearances this year is significant - just one assist, which is not good enough given the positions he gets into. I can only think something is not right and it is probably best for all parties if he goes to Paris or elsewhere.

Also, I don't get those who justify his play this season by saying others are worse - this is a 30yr old international with lots of PL experience, he has bundles of skill yet seems to not have the desire to do it for us on a regular basis. In my opinion if he stays much longer his value will only decrease so I'd sell him in January/summer - hopefully Poch would like him!

I don't disagree with that but with all our attacking players who were here last year being so far below par it seems unfair to single him out. For my money only Dias, Cancelo, Stones and Torres are having good seasons and it can't be a coincidence that none of them featured regularly last year - obviously for different reasons.

51 games, and contributions in 11 (Burnley & Leicester over 2 games), 3 of which were in January 2020.
