Mahrez was nowhere to be seen so I don't see how you work that out. When Walker received the ball, more often than not, Mahrez was having to come from the middle of the pitch or the other side altogether to provide an out pass, he very rarely held his position like Phil did.

So obviously Walker can't make a quick pass, he had nobody to pass to...
Because Walker is a great passer, and it's constantly going forward. Mahrez played well, way better than Rodri, Cancelo, Ederson, Gundogan, Bernardo... the only ones who played better were Foden and KDB.

His involvement in the first goal was significant..

Played very well in terms of defense..

Was not as phenomenal as Foden during the attacks - but in overall had a great game..

I would definitely pick him ahead of Sterling - next week as well..
 
What he did do he did well but wasn’t nearly involved enough. In the first half that was because we weren’t getting the ball to him enough, but in the second half I think he wasn’t working hard enough to receive passes.
