Shame but it hasn’t worked out. The other players must wonder how he gets picked each week.
Must be so disheartening for the other players to know that every time he gets it hell Lose it or ignore everyone and shoot. And still he plays more often than not.
I don’t even blame mahrez anymore. We know he’s usless. Why can’t the manager see it?. His stats yesterday must be horrific.

I dont think he is a talented footballer
There's freestyle footballers who can do so many tricks with a ball, but will never make a pro footballer,
Lost count how many times he looses the ball & notchally tracks back,
Putting pressure on mid/defence,
Like others I don't see what he brings to the team,
Turns it on against some lower ranking national teams,
And if it's TRUE he a thick c.nt, it shouldn't matter seeing how long he been here,
Even a numpty would understand what expected of you in a game,
Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!”

I do think he's a skilled footballer. But the jury's back in: he has no decisive effect in virtually any match he plays in. Every fan and his dog can see it, except apparently Pep. I can see Gundo's usefulness (when playing alongside certain other players), even where others can't. But not this man. That said, I don't want to focus overmuch on individual players. The whole team is not functioning properly. And that has to be — at least partly — on the manager.

Pep has given mahrez all the chances he could. Now he needs to make a hard decision. We can't start mahrez anymore. I don't remember what game it was this season but mahrez had an instant impact when he was substituted. Hope pep uses him as an impact substitution from now on and sell him in summer. Good player but is not doing much for us.

Years ago, the rags had a player who reminds me of Mahrez in some ways — Gordon Hill. Some on here might remember him. Quick with his feet, could beat a player, even two. Problem was, once he'd done that, he didn't have the slightest idea what to do with the ball. He simply couldn't judge what the decisive pass was.

Mahrez is only getting games because of his transfer fee , he is certainly behind Foden in contribution and form , he looks a world beater playing for Algeria , playing against waiters and binmen , but he isnt doing it in the Premier league , his form doesnt even justify a place on the bench
Makes you wonder if his agent has something in his contract about game time , very strange that he starts some big games.

Based on what he offers, there's not a chance he should get in the squad, never mind the starting eleven.

I don't even think he's a flat track bully anymore, he's just shit. And a lazy one at that.

Saying he isnt a good player is ridiculous. He is clearly talented but not for us.

We regularly play against packed defenses and his main strengths of running in to spaces behind are nullified.

Its why Son wouldn't do well here either.
