I think we’re scapegoating Mahrez a bit here. He has scored loads of goals this season and has scored his last nine penalties for City. But he was dog dirt today there is no getting away from it.

And the late chance against the Mickeys. He's had a good season, but he may well be remembered for these incidents. Fair? No, not really. But that's what happens. What's the old saying, "you're only as good as your last game". And he was pretty anonymous today.

seems hilarious to say our top scorer has had a crap season outside of the goals, but our top scorer has had a crap season outside of the goals. The invisible man in so many games, a lot of inconsequential goals and has mostly blown it when it came to consequential goals. Got no chance of POTY despite the stats.

Anyone can miss a pen and Fabianski seems to make a few saves from the spot.

The time it took the penalty to be awarded, the fact it could put one hand on the trophy...that is huge pressure. He picked his spot hit it well but it was saved. A point was a good result from where we were at HT.

If he had have looked up on his run up he would have seen Fabianski move early and could have placed it the other side. But if he had have hit his free kick better Coufal may not have headed it into his own net!

Don't get the impression he's ever really endeared himself to supporters. As great a player he is, his selfishness on the ball and inconsistency is incredibly frustrating to watch.
He's had some great moments, but all too many times do we get performances like today where he just doesn't look interested. Penalty misses can happen, but it just about summed it all up for him today.

Here we are again talking about Mahrez missing penalties and sitters in big games . Thought he was shit today and shouldn’t have even been on the pitch to take the penalty .
