As I said.

Certain Blues just seem to be cherry picking moments that didn’t go his or our way. He has scored loads and assisted loads as well this season. Yes he was poor today but some of the criticism is over the top.

He's been our penalty taker all season, has a good record and is our top goalscorer. The penalty was decent, on target and well-saved.

Sometimes penalties don't go in. It's frustrating and, especially in situations like today where it would have been a crucial, potentially match-winning goal, it can be devastating. If any other player had taken it with the same outcome, we'd be up in arms asking why it hadn't gone to Mahrez.

I don't think he played brilliantly today, but he was far from the only one. And the penalty, painful as it was, wasn't the bottle-job some are making it out to have been.

Mahrez’s pen was shit, but bigger issue for me is why nobody else seems to have the fucking balls to stand up and take a pen.

Would’ve thought KDB (or Bernardo) could give it a go sometime

I can’t get mad over the penalty miss. He has done the exact same kick as that from the penalty spot this season and scored, to great adulation and praise. We can’t then blame him when the keeper goes the right way and saves one. People only rate a penalty kick as being good if it goes in. An identical kick can be saved and everyone calls it the worst pen they’ve ever seen.
