At least, be a little objective. He could not pass as the path was blocked. Very clear.

Was this a joke post or just one of the Mahrez fanboys? I can't tell.

I can't believe this needs to be spelled out to anyone who's ever played or watched football but no one is expecting him to pass it straight to where Foden is in the picture.

He passes it in the gigantic space in front of Foden, who is running...

He's great if you need him to score the fifth goal in a game you're winning by four. But he's greedy and is completely selfish. He has to play the pass as @domalino says. The entire ethos of this team is pass the ball if someone is better positioned.

Its a simple pass and he wants a goal. Same as Liverpool at home in the last minute. He then shits out for their goal.

He's a player all about himself.

Who are we gonna start then? Sterling? Grealish? As frustrating as he is and as shit as he played today in the important moments he is still part of our best front line. He'll play and hopefully he will make an impact

Possibly the most naturally gifted player at the club. Shame he also happens to be the most selfish.

He had a fucking acre of room. He's a top class footballer and all he had to do was put it in the 10 yard gap between Courtois and the defender 3 yards from him. He wasn't under pressure, he had loads of time to think about it, and he selfishly went for glory.

He also gave the ball away for the penalty, and didn't event think about offering Fernandinho some support when Vinicius was running at him over and over.

Tonight we saw the worst of him - a selfish, greedy player who wastes 3 chances for every moment of magic he produces. The fact he can be so much better just makes it worse, and the fact he was like this in his last 2 games and still got picked makes it infuriating.

Agree, at 3-1. Sterling or preferably Jesus should have been shifted right to double up with Gundogan coming on and shifting De Bruyne to a free role.

Don't think so at all - there is space in a one yard corridor outside the six yard box - all it needed was a simple instep right foot pass as the ball would naturally curl into the path of Phil for a tap in. His mistake was the only thought was twat it as hard as he could. Very much like Bernardo's goal if they go in it's a world class finish - my only issue is he fails to make this sort of pass time and again.

He was really unlucky in the second half but still his inclination to play it flat across the lines put them in to break and get the foul that led to the pen. He is a world class player but tonight even those with Mahrez coloured specs on cannot say it was a top performance it was one of outstanding moments followed by moments of dross.
