I cba comparing the two, as they're both different players, and ultimately are both not really delivering enough

I think Grealish always plays fairly well, but lacks the final product, which ironically is what Mahrez used to give us, which now seems to have disappeared

Jack was never a goalscorer at Villa so I wouldn't expect that from him now, but he needs to work on that side of his game.

I'd expect to see more assists and directness from him in the final 3rd
Ok well we both agree that they are not delivering enough.

Could also argue Foden hasn’t really this season given the unbelievable ability he possesses. Ok,his goal numbers are quite good but his all round game is nowhere near what we’ve seen from him in in the last couple of years.

The Brentford game was case in point, he was poor in general but scored a cracking goal.

How does that prove your point? It's hyperthetical!

Grealish performances are actually usually pretty good, it's the end product that is missing.

Mahrez isn't a shit player, but he's under performing and has stopped doing all of the things that made him useful in the side
His point is that Mahrez has always been shat on by a good chunk of this forum's members. He's never been a fan favourite, no matter what he does, and it fucking shows. I'm not saying that he's having a great season, but there's a very distinctive trend when it comes to evaluate his performances. Not that he's the only one, mind.

When he plays well, you'd think that he's left City ages ago because almost no fucking one posts in his thread and even then, some still find a way to nitpick. However, as soon as he even remotely has an average or bad game, it becomes suddenly very lively and generally full of (the same old) people eager to take a dump on him.

Today is a case in point. As many other days.

Good first half, influence faded a little in the second. Unlucky not to score from that Grealish dink.

Overall felt like he readjusted his playstyle. Instead of cutting in and looking for the shot all the time, he looked for killer passes. IMO creating for others is where he's at his best and reminds me more of the Mahrez we got from Leicester.

The break seems to have done him wonders.

Has he created a single chance for Haaland this season?
