From our point of view, it would be very good business. From his point of view, it's a crap move. He's got a lot more to offer at top level. Unless he cares that much about the money. But how much do you need in this life?
By the way, he's been peripheral in the league, but made a very significant contribution to our F.A. Cup run, except in the last match, where he couldn't, because he wasn't given any minutes.

Peripherical in the league with 5 goals and 10 assists in PL and a stratospherical performance against Tottenham that turned the season around? ok.

He had a good month just after the World Cup, but either side of that he was distinctly average. Just one league goal between August and December (against the worst team in the league) and only one league goal (a penalty) after the Spurs game on January 19th.

IF we win the Champions league, I think maybe we should sell all the players to Saudia Arabia for 5 Billion Pound, and play the academy players next season & award the fans with free season ticket.

... and Sheikh Mansour buys Man U... ooops

If you believe everything in the media, Mahrez, Gundogan, Silva, Laporte, Phillips, Cancelo all leaving, we might get Kovacic and Kimmich (maybe) but it leaves us far weaker. I can’t believe the club would allow so many departures in one window.

Phillips has hardly played for us and Cancelo clearly isn’t coming back. Laporte has had a face like a smacked arse all season. Bernie has apparently wanted to leave for a couple of seasons and Gundog is looking for his best option given his age. I could certainly see a scenario where they all leave.

Besides Bernie and gundog, the rest are easily replaced

I would argue it's not easy to find a squad player of the caliber of Laporte.

If the Gvardiol links are true it would suggest that we are replacing him with a younger more athletic player and letting them compete for the LCB spot. I think Ake would be okay with being a squad player on merit.

If Gvardiol comes with a hefty price, he will probably be a starter, re: Grealish case. Ake squad player? He might be forced to accept it for one half-season or one season but probably no more than that. Cancelo's case is still fresh.
