In terms of skill Savinho doesn't come close to Doku, but he works infinitely harder, is a lot more active, doesn't overthink when on the ball, and all these things together make him a better winger despite being aesthetically not nearly as pleasing.

Lmao!! This is bollocks! Doku is aesthetically not pleasing, everytime hes on the ball the nerves kick in, you know eventually he'll run into a blind alley or lose the ball. There were times last night were Haaland didn't even bother to make a run in the box when Doku was on the ball.

Doku is a frustrating player imo, and I agree re the bind alleys/ ball retention .

Decision making is still an issue with too many passes delayed too long or mis-placed when others are waiting for them.

Aesthetics is how natural one looks at the ball, not decision making. Doku almost looks like Ronaldinho sometimes in his movements. The problem is he seems to think that looking like Ronaldinho makes him as valuable to the team as Ronaldinho so he can afford to not put in maximum effort.

THIS is the major issue and I don't know what our scouting team saw in him, there were so many better/available players in the market, Olise, Olmo heck we had Palmer on our books, it's not a matter of age/experience he will never work in a Pep team, we've never had a winger so inconsistent including Sterling/Grealish.

I got banned for saying his level is Marseille/Lyon/Monaco.

Just watched the match back. Savinho is class (and the Titanic is at the bottom of the Atlantic). There is not the faintest shadow of doubt about it. When we get Bobb back we will have major talent on both wings. I'm salivating already.
