26 | Savinho - 2025/26

I just think Pep is trying to give him a big show of support and vote of confidence.

Ironically if everyone could manager not to jeer, boo and abuse him online it might be less necessary.

Plus would Marmoush or Bobb really offer that much more? Pep is sticking with the youngest one with the highest potential even though he's pretty off form.
Exactly. Pep is moving mad.

Not really. Girona finished in the Champions League places with Savinho being one of their outstanding players. Savinho cost us half what Semenyo is going to cost us. We also have Marmoush trying to establish himself.
Sememyo? At this point I'd take a bag of used practice balls for Savinho///

I know. No-one ever is. However, based on their respective performances over the last two seasons, he’s got to be a better bet than Savinho

Mahrez was a no body till 24 or so and then he became one of the top wingers in the world. And we got him at 27.

It is possible Savinho could be a late bloomer or a flash in the pan 1 season winger at Giriona.

We just dont know but we do know it's not looking good at the moment. I think he's getting this season or he has to leave.. like Raz post lyon miss was a shadow of himself. He was given the 21-22 season and there was a purple patch but not the consistency we wanted so he was moved on!

WEAK AS SHIT!
The most disappointing thing to witness as a fan of football is a talented player choosing to not fight to make the next step, just short of the fucking stars. Disappointing.

every time you think oh, he's got some quick feet here, he's got the defender worried, let's see what he can do with it - he does something bad. pathetic player, honestly

he should work his arse of not even Doing that! Pep needs to start leaving him at home he shouldn’t give him game time just because we paid 30m for him!

Still not good enough. We've discarded better youngsters from the academy than this raffle winner.
The only one I can think of is Palmer.
Savinho at the start of last season was better than any of those we released.
The big difference is that he has gone backwards and seems to be getting worse month by month.
At his age, the likes of Gittens and Morgan Rogers, just 2 examples, were improving and still are.
It has to be some sort of a mental attitude thing because his first touch is quite good and his touches after that get increasingly worse.

He's nowhere near elite standard, nor is Gittens. Rogers is the best prospect of the three, but I don't see him becoming a 'top' player either. None of them are as suited to City as Doku imo, and he’s still got a long way to go.

Talking about mentaility, I think there’s an arrogance in Savinho's play that he hasn't earned. He thinks he's special - He's not.

I can't put my finger on it.
Today he got a ball near the touchline, ran across the pitch with it , taking a few opposition players out of the way.
Having done the hard bit, he completely underhit a relatively simple pass, allowing Sunderland to counter attack.
He comes across as being more juvenile than arrogant. Pep has put a lot of faith in him but I can't see him getting any more opportunities.
Cherki took his today

At this point he should only play cup matches. His lack of confidence is obvious, and giving him these chances will not help him rebuild it.
