26 | Savinho - 2025/26

I think some are too far gone to believe in redemption. He’s young and will improve. Like all young players, he just needs to listen to Guardiola and watch how the senior pros (e.g. Bernardo) behaved the park. We are blessed with some ridiculous talent, but if they’re not prepared to graft, then they won’t be here for long.
Yeah. He had a UCL game a little while back where he was very good. Tracked back well and was a menace. I want that version on him. Consistency is key

Pep is weird we all can see Savio been poor but he is hyping him up to fuck! Going on about chasing back to defend sorry I saw him stroll around never got into any speed! When pep talks about a player like that means he thinks he is shite! Usually he says he can improve do better when a player has a cracking game

Can imagine him going back into the changing room “I’ve just backed you to the hilt there kid, don’t make me look a prick.”

The angry lads are all still spot on though, Pep knows nothing about wingers or football in general.

The irony is if Pep didn't have to rebuild his confidence he'd play him less. Looked absolutely distraught at the end of the game today, Ruben, Nico, Pep, Nunes all consoling him. But that's how you want our own players to feel I guess?
I agree with them that savinho is playing awful at the moment. But "the season is long" as the bald fella says. Just a bit/very disappointing how quick people and some in the crowd were to get on his back today. We're doing fine and he isnt starting and he shouldn't be, we've won 3 nil we're hot on arsenals heels dont get why people's primary focus would be on savinhos current terrible form. Its to the point where Pep is making a point of sticking up with him in the presser. Its poor

Didn’t see it today but have seen Pep bigging him up for…tracking back and winning tackles. Should be a given for a footballer but especially for a winger trying to prove a point coming off the bench.

Good to see Pep mentioned the counter attack fuck up from Fulham and his all-round lack of intensity.

Hopefully a kick start to something.

He’s a great talent but like all the other ‘peripheral’ players, they’re just struggling to find consistency because they’re not playing regularly. It’s a long season and everyone is going to be called upon to do their bit.

I undersyabd Pep coming out in support but hes been bad, like really really fucking bad.
Can only get better i suppose..

It’s called trying to build a players confidence back up. It’ll be crushed soon if he listens to the fans.

No need for the over reactions and negativity every week.

In the last fortnight I’ve read people on here saying that Foden should leave, Pep should go now and that we’re a shambles.

Thing is if pep came out and said he is struggling at the moment and he knows he made mistake in the summer with the rumours to spurs and just wants to work hard show what he can do to help Man City his team and fans.. also would be good if his agent did an interview to say it was his fault just wanted the best for his player! And he made a big mistake! Think majority of city fans then would give him a fair crack!

Bollox to that. Don’t you want to win any cups?
Im willing to assume that if he plays in a Cup game from the start he himself will not feel that much pressure, like he would when he enters at the 70-80th minute mark in a league game and desperate to impress. His level can't possibly be the current one. All these mistakes he makes these days could be successful plays if his mind is calm. His technique is much better than this.

Nothing left to say, it would only appear like bullying at this point
Can we deduct the £50m up front that Spurs offered (not £70m, that was based on ludicrous fantasy nonsense like champions leagues and ballon d’ors) from Soriano’s severance package?
