There were times where he really showcased high skill and intricate passing on the byline in order to keep possession under a heavy press.

Technically our best fullback. He's another player we aren't getting he best out of due to being played out of position and/or being rotated too often.

What's surprised me about Cancelo is I always thought he'd be great in the final third, but he's a bit lacking albeit still pretty good. But then he's far better than I expected in defence and he's actually one of the best fullbacks I've seen in the middle third.

Weirdly positive vibes about this.

Cancelo is just a very good football player...I think that there is a lot more to come from him.

I've said this after pretty much every game he's featured in this season, he's our most progressive player on the pitch. Outstanding again. There's ample scope for him to be even better if he's given more of a licence to go forward. Can't leave him out of the side at the minute.

I'd be looking at moving walker to the left, particularly if the main source of pace in the oppoentns attack is down tht side and playing cancelo in his natural side, walker can do walker things from anywhere and we get much more from cancelo on the right.

I think the reason for Cancelo left and Walker right is that Walker is not as comfortable on the ball as Cancelo, so Pep would rather the better ball player on their more uncomfortable side.

I do understand your reason to switch however.

Not a prayer,Walker is the most one footed player (and that isnt great) in the squad. As opposed to the occasional brain fart on the right,he'd be a complete liability on the left.

As ive stated consistently,Cancelo is the better all round full back.If we had a decent left back,id have Walker on the bench.
