First choice RB. Just really super skilled. Defending has been really solid overall too.

He was our best player in the home shitshow v Wolves last season, showing some of what he's been doing lately. Unfortunately (especially since I'd flown 6,000 miles to witness it) the rest of the team wasn't quite performing as well as they've been doing lately...
 
Love the guy. Yesterday was a different type of game for him. He seemed to spend a lot more time in a traditional RB position and Mane got nothing out of him.

His defending style is different from Walker, he is calm and assured and nothing seems to bother him. Walker is definitely more visible in that its all about speed and aggression. There are defensive mistakes in both of them, but what Cancelo (and Zin) give on the ball, Walker will never bring to the table.

Bringing in Dias, changed our season, but I also think regularly getting Cancelo into the side has also played a huge part.
 
There was one moment where he put in the softest attempted tackle of the game where they nearly scored (deflection off Stones for a corner). Fucking wimp’s tackle!

Other than that he was solid. Between him and Bernardo, restricted Mane to little and kept pinning him wide in the second half.
 
Just popping in to say I'm happy our Cancelo-Danilo swap deal has finally turned up to be mutually beneficial this season. I've recently read that Cancelo has been performing really well for you, while Danilo has put on another great defensive performance tonight for us. He's been a revelation as a lateral CB.

Cancelo justifying why the swap was done has been absolutely brilliant this unbeaten run,seems to get better every game ..
