One of the 1st things Pep said about his new signing, was that he had to work on his 1st touch. That should have set the alarm bells ringing. He barely played him last season and it’s taken an injury crisis for him to play him this season. I don’t believe that Pep rates Nunes at all and yesterday will have cemented that.Anyone with a level head thought the same thing. Never, ever, ever up to the standards we have set for ourselves.
But obviously the "you think you know better than Pep?!" crowd had a good time with that one.

We were interested in him before he went to Wolves, I believe. It was strange to pay that amount for someone who, by all accounts, had been pretty underwhelming in the Premier League. But ultimately, we had to give Wolves a profit if we wanted him after just a year and they paid 38 million for him in the first place. Presumably Pep (who picked him out for praise when we played Sporting) saw something he thought he could work with.I would absolutely love to know how and why he was decided as a suitable player for us (especially.at the fee paid) by our Scouts and obviously the D.O.F that presumably sanctioned it.
