Steady.
Today was tailor made for players like Nunes and Doku - even an out of sorts Foden. A decent workout and confidence booster for the proper upcoming games.Whereas I don't think Ipswich offered a huge threat and I don't want to get carried away, I thought he was a bit better than bang average.
He was decent today.
Think he’ll develop better now Dias is back to organise him. Dont think Akanji does an awful lot in that regardIm happy for him to develop there.
EIther staying wide or inverting, fullback is just easier mentally than playing in midfield.
He has been way too harshly judged by many posters for his first season, considering how much he has contributed.
I’m pleased you are. I still think we need a right back.Im happy for him to develop there.

Eh?So in that basis rico is championship bound within 2 seasons
I think his defensive strategy is to apply early physical pressure to disrupt opponent's rhythm. Nunes lacks agility. He is fast, but appears heavy on the field. He prefers to deny the opponent any space to execute their moves. He did well today creating the width. But I worry about his tendency to lean into any player going past him - it is regularly given as a foul (even when like today it was both players pulling at each other). Perhaps it will come with experience. Lots of defensive coaching required if he is to continue there
IMO the rest of the defense has turned very poor so they'll also get ripped apart.Great game. I dont want him there long term, i still think he can be useful further up the pitch for us but he is just a better fit than Rico in every single way to that role. If this is his way in to the team and a way to get Pep to trust him more then so be it.
He deserves to keep his place there but the opposition are about to take a signficant step up and I am fearful of him there for the coming games. He will get torn apart by a top class winger at some point, it's inevitable, it's not his position and he'll be isolated unless pep goes with bernardo infront to help. It won't be his fault but when it does happen, the many that have made him the scapegoat will be licking their lips ready to lay into him.
Agree he’s a handy option there for this season. If we’re playing a top team with the signings and Dias fit it would probably be better to play a natural defender there rather than stick Bernie on the right. As Foden isn’t playing central if Kev is fit and our options on the left are finally starting to look very good.Great game. Easily the worst take I’ve seen on the forum. Rico definitely the Edghill of his generationBetter than Rico at RB, but long term I hope to see Akanji/Stones/Reis/Khusanov there.
