He's unplayable by defenders when he makes the correct decision but getting him to do that is an enigma in of itself.

However he's far from "useless".. he's filled in for Grealish, Doku, Savinho, Gvardiol and Walker. Maybe not worth 53 million but at the very least justifying a 40 mil squad player cost.

Certainly not a waste like 42 mil Kalvin.

Thought he had a really solid game - good going forward again and mostly solid defensively. Couple of brainfarts but considering it's not his position it wasn't bad at all.

Brilliant in all aspects. That's a midfielder playing fullback against 2 different £70m+ wingers and shutting them down with ease. He's proven to be our most productive winger when played there and now hes showing he's our best fullback. He's having a great season amongst the shit yet there's still so many that will shit on him for the sake of it. Pep needs to trust him in midfield, he's what we need in there.

Did well, annoyingly froze on the ball a couple of times on the break, once he got in the box.

Outstanding. He was everywhere offensively, created so much space, and overall was extremely dangerous. Defensively, really confident at the back, assured, winning his battles. People wayyyyy too harsh on him in the past.
It’s the creating space aspect that I think is the most important thing he brings to the side from RB. Keeps the pitch stretched, doesn’t constantly congest the midfield by inverting to no effect, and is always in motion

You don’t have to be perfect if you play with those energy levels and open the game up for your teammates. He’s making a big difference out there

His decision making is still frustrating sometimes. And i say this as one of his biggest supporters.

The throwing that led to AK45's error was stupid. To not whip in a cross after getting wide open on that run was just painful to watch.

That said, he is as brilliant moving off the ball as he is stupid making decisions on it.

I van see im going to love hom in spite of his flaws. The new Otamendi :)

New Otamendi ? Otamendi had no problem two footing someone from time to time, Nunes pulls out of tackles a bit too much.
