At least Bernie can still control the ball but yes he has been at sorts. Still, I’d have him in the team over Nunes
Fair enough, but neither of them get into a top side.

Nunes gets a bit of credit for playing out of position this season, but he’s effectively getting the Kalvin Phillips treatment from Guardiola now, which is unfortunate given that he was bought to replace Kalvin Phillips in the squad.

£100 million on Phillips and Nunes is horrendous business and the sort of shit that has put united where they are today.

He’s going to be difficult to shift without taking quite a large loss on his book value or maybe out on loan. Like Phillips poor buys but ok we take these on the chin. Unlike United we still have the money to recruit the very best

Got to be one of the worst transfers in recent history this. Nothing personal against Nunes but he is so far from what Pep wants as a midfielders it’s ridiculous.

Complete and utter waste of money with the fee and paying him every week. Doesn’t touch the pitch. That was a woeful summers business post treble.

He’ll be pushing for a move in the summer

Does provide some squad depth. No need to cut loose just yet.
We're likely to still be carrying more experienced pros whom Guardiola trusts, and the pathway for younger players needs to be cleared. Four games since the defeat at Arsenal and he's been given the last 2 minutes off the bench against Newcastle. I suspect he'll leave this summer.

Bernie controls the ball & turns turns turns thats it. He runs round kicking everybody & moaning, he's a miniture Bruno Fernandes minus the goals & assists.

We would still have to replace him and most of our summer signings are going to more towards replacing our aging stars rather than providing depth. It is still better not to cut him loose just yet.

Turns 27 in August and is contracted through to 2028. He's not going to improve himself sat around and he's not going to improve us on the pitch, unless people now think he'll come good in his third season.

Still decent cover and the money we are going to spend should be on replacements for the first team not depth.

I'll have to beg to differ. Even though we've been down to the bare bones and below par for so long, he's still been asked to play fewer minutes this season than he managed last year. If he were decent cover, he'd surely have more. I'm not even convinced he'll play against Plymouth now, given that it's our only hope of domestic silverware, and with fewer scant games on the calendar, his opportunities are going to be further reduced. He might feature in the summer tournament but thereafter he should be moved on.

Although not outstanding he has played more games than Kalvin Phillips and has contributed more. He has made 27 appearances this season which is decent numbers for a player brought in to provide cover. He is another player who is least of our problems.

I think he sums up how poor our recruitment has been though. Another that is the antithesis of a Pep midfielder and gets paid thousands to warm the bench.

He perfectly sums up some of our issues imo

Pep didn't trust Rodri to start the CL final even though he was the only available DM when Fernandinho was injured. The season after that, Rodri got more minutes and became the most important player of the squad.

Now Nunes, didn't have 10 games run in one position, yet many wants him sold.

Yes I want him sold. Only way he’ll contribute is in an injury crisis. His wages could be used on a player who sees minutes in his actual position.

The problem is that I’m sure we bought him to play centre midfield , 90% of his minutes have been other positions

At left midfield he’s ok but we have much better options when everyone’s fit

At left back he’s gifted the game to Utd and hasn’t been seen there since

At right back he looks ok going forward but he’s a liability defending 1 v 1 also we are surely going to sign someone to play here next season

I just don’t know where he would get minutes next season , there is no point in keeping him just for an extra body , we should get rid and hopefully make a slight accounting profit on him

The others at the time of us signing Nunes were still performing and were only looking to recruit players who could provided squad depth and who could

The Carabao Cup and FA Cup and perhaps if we are in a stronger position in qualiyfing for the Champions League and looking to give our key player a little break in the dead rubber games if possible.
