Yes I know he does love a good fuck up leading to a goal. However he’s really good on the ball, created a great chance for Haaland and showed some good touches today and I thought played well.

After a result like that I’d personally cut the guy some slack. Provides more to the attack than Rico and no other options so hopefully he can grow into the position.

A more attacking style right back with the cms dropping to cover would clearly suit him.

You cannot watch that square pass across our goal and deem him to be “really good on the ball”.

He’s diabolical.

He is decent going forward.
Can't defend.

I've been banging on for a while now that we should play 3 at the back with wing backs. Think nunes and young nico as wing backs would work.

Tbf I don’t see him staying here long-term because it’s simply a quality issue. With Gundo/Bernardo/KDB it’s a physicality/fitness/age related issues but with Nunes he doesn’t seem to be anywhere that technical level hence why he’s utilised in wider zones.

Credit to him though I think he really has tried this season and he’s not been a flop to true same level as Phillips but just not technically good enough for our style of play. I think for a more transition based team he could be a real player.

It was a bit of a concern for me that I didn’t really think he was good for Wolves when he signed him and haven’t really been convinced since then.

This is the Nunes performances thread.

Fuck all to do with Foden or any other player.

Lol pathetic.. can't even hide your agenda even though they both do the same exact thing!

That's called selectively and purposely hating someone!

Unlike you I can see both pros and cons of a player. Nunes is a really good crosser of the ball.. Erling should have scored off his cross!

Thought he had a good game, what he has done is play a ball thinking hes a centre mid passing to his wide man to run onto, its going to take a while to get that out of him, but think he deserves the rest of the season at R/b, nearly 2 seasons in i would say very good squad player with great attitude but maybe we overpaid by 20m

Nunes is a real condundrum, he can do some brilliant stuff but also does mad things like creating Bournemouth’s goal, I think he is trying too hard, if he stays he needs be be given a midfield role, admitted Pep has had to play him out of position, due to injuries etc.

Which makes sense considering how people react whenever he doesn’t win a tackle, or doesn’t shoot perfectly into the corner or doesn’t give the perfect weight of pass. There were games when he was honestly the best player and still some said that he wasn’t good because of 1 misplaced pass or something. It’s the same guys who say that Rico is good enough when he gets turned in and out by the whole French team in the U21

Another brain fart moment today , doesn't get in the least physical despite his size, makes half hearted attempts to push the oppostion players over instead of trying to win the ball with his feet and using his upper body strength. Plus if a player switches direction it takes him about six steps to recover so he is so easy to get around ! Apart from that seems a nice but not a particulary determined lad ...

Shite for their goal but good otherwise. Semenyo is a classy player so he did well considering. Really good going forward. As ever, I still think we should use him as a wingback

He was pushed and the pressure was intense. If we are going to bade whod good on the ball off one bsd pass, then i present the following terrible on the ball players

John Stones, llkay Gundogan, Kevin Debryne, Bernado, Gvardiol, Phil Foden, Savio...

Too name all the players who have made that exact error pass this season.

I get it many don't like him... But he is a good player.

We need a new RB, but he will do against most teams. Very good going forward, but shaky defensively. I would be happy with him as a backup option.
