Whilst I get the argument it’s not his position, that only works for me if he is good in his position.

From what I have seen Nunes is no worse at FB then he is midfield.

It is probably the most polite I can be on the player.

I think he is great. He made some errors this season that have cost us but not playing him has cost us too.

I'd play him every game.

There's a lack of quality that makes everything else irrelevant to me. I know some people won't like that, but I think it's pretty clear Nunes is beneath the standard of a title challenging side. Doesn't mean he's complete shit and doesnt have qualities, and for the rest of this season I dont mind him at RB in the circumstances, but he should go in the summer.

Some of the runs through the middle last night were pretty effective, it looked like he has been told to pass when he gets to a certain position though even if that player he passes to thinks shooting is a tropical disease to be avoided.

Some don’t even watch the games I think. They just come in here to cry. He is also the only player who got hate after not scoring or assisting when he played as a winger. ( more assists and goals than any other winger) despite not being one

I feel his versatility might make Pep keep him beyond this season.

He’s never likely to be a starter for us, but his ability to cover multiple positions would get him a fair few minutes across the season.

Also, I don’t see much difference between him and Frimpong at right back. Both are defensively suspect, but carry a decent attacking threat.

It’s part of a bigger picture I reckon. We put midfielders in as full backs against shit teams who generally won’t be bothering our defence that much. This creates better attacking options and allows us to maximise our goal difference. Against better teams we play proper full backs who have benefitted from a rest. Masterstroke!

He also played a lovely ball down the line to get De Bruyne into that inside-right position that he must have assisted 50 goals for us from, only for Kev to put way too much on the cross

Great game. Some really good crucial defending and handled their biggest threat really well. He also offered multiple good runs behind upfront seeing as none of the attackers seemed like they could be arsed doing that, not his fault we never used him.
